Welcome to the Winter 2020 issue of ACCENT. Inside this issue, we spotlight Awty's biggest event of the year, the 2020 Awty Gala, Feria de Sevilla. We also feature news from around campus, success stories among both the faculty and the student body, and employee news.

2020 Awty Gala
We had an amazing night Saturday, February 29 at Awty's 2020 Gala, Feria de Sevilla, raising funds for our fantastic school! The event was alive with the sights and sounds of Spain as the sold-out crowd dined on a three-course meal from A Fare Extraordinaire while listening to live Spanish guitar and watching captivating dancers.

 

A very special thank you to Krystal Batchelor, Pamela Dorsey, Sandy Hartley, and Sarah Nicholas for chairing this year's stunning event.  The gala chairs and their dedicated committee members worked very hard all year to give us an Awty experience that we won't soon forget.  We are incredibly happy to report that thanks to everyone's efforts, to date we have raised more than $548,079 for Awty…and still counting!

Many thanks to our generous sponsors and underwriters especially Chevron, Schlumberger, Total, and Mr. Harry Yan and Mrs. Weiman Gao, who were our lead sponsors for the evening, as well as our lead underwriter ExxonMobil.  The full list of sponsors and underwriters can be found HERE. 

 

Thank you to everyone who donated auction items and volunteered to host a sociable or an Awty Adventure.  We appreciate those who participated in our online auction this year, which raised over $92,482, our live auction, which raised more than $142,599, and Paddles Up, which raised a record $100,380 for Faculty and Staff Development.  Thank you for supporting the school we all love!
